Steven Whitecrow grew up hearing the ancient Cherokee myth of the raven mocker. To him it was just a superstitious story, until he became one. After that, he could sense when people were going to die, and his job was to help them pass.

No one knew his secret. He didn’t want them to know. Would his maybe-girlfriend, Jamie, think he was a freak? Would his friends call him the Grim Reaper? Would he still have any friends? 


He was content to keep it all secret, but when the murders started, things got complicated.
